Our story
KidsOnWheels was born on a Friday night with 12 browser tabs open and two tired parents who just wanted to take their kids somewhere new.
Two parents. One recurring problem.
Every Thursday or Friday, we’d find ourselves doing the same thing: opening Google, then Little Day Out, then a Telegram group, then Instagram, then back to Google again. We’d read the same articles we’d already read, cross-reference opening hours, check if it was too far, wonder if our youngest (Miles, then 2) would last the journey, and eventually give up and default to the playground we’d been to forty times.
We’re Minan and Marty. We live in Singapore with our boys — Max, who’s 6, and Miles, who just turned 3. We both work full-time. Weekends are precious. And for too long, we were wasting them in planning paralysis.
The 45-minute Friday problem
We started tracking how long we spent planning a weekend outing. The answer was embarrassing: 45 minutes on average, often spread across two devices, multiple apps, and at least one argument about whether the MRT would be too crowded.
The thing is — Singapore is an amazing city for kids. There are free parks, creative play spaces, wonderful hawker centres for lunch, and a bus network that goes everywhere. The information exists. It’s just scattered, unfiltered, and completely divorced from any kind of planning workflow.
Discovery apps tell you what exists. Nobody tells you how to build a day around it.
What we built
KidsOnWheels is the app we needed. It doesn’t aggregate every venue in Singapore — it curates places we’ve actually been to with our own kids. It doesn’t show star ratings from anonymous users — it shows real notes from parents who’ve been there on a Tuesday morning with a toddler in a carrier.
And crucially, it connects discovery to planning. You find a place, you add it to Saturday’s plan, and the app helps you sequence the day. That’s it.

What we believe
We believe parents should spend their weekends at the places, not researching them. We believe free activities can be just as memorable as expensive ones. And we believe a small, well-maintained product built with genuine care is more valuable than a bloated platform built for scale.
KidsOnWheels is a side project, built in the hours after the kids go to bed. It’s bootstrapped, Singapore-focused, and deeply personal. We’re not trying to be the next Airbnb for family activities. We’re trying to give Singapore parents their Friday nights back.
